Niall Mason has joined Doncaster Rovers on a permanent deal.
The versatile defender spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan at the Keepmoat and has now penned a two-year contract.
He made his professional debut with Doncaster in August 2016 and has racked up over 40 appearances for Darren Ferguson’s side, who secured promotion from League Two.
Mason signed for Villa from Southampton following a successful trial in June 2015.
Although he never made a first team appearance, Mason was a regular for the U21s and on the bench for the claret and blues’ Premier League match at West Ham in February 2016.
