Jackson in running for PL Player of the Month

Four goals in four games have earned Nicolas Jackson a nomination for Premier League Player of the Month for October.

The Senegalese has been in fine form for Aston Villa, helping his side climb up the table.

Jackson found the net versus Brentford in a 2-2 draw before putting in a strong performance in the 1-0 success at St James' Park against Newcastle United.

The 25-year-old hit top gear when Manchester City visited Villa Park, scoring both goals in a 2-1 triumph.

He rounded off October with another goal in the 1-1 draw with Fulham.

Jackson is up against Evanilson, Ezri Konsa, Declan Rice, Jack Rudoni, Jan Paul van Hecke, Bart Verbruggen and Luka Vušković for the award. The winner will be announced on Friday, November 13 at 11am.
