Bio
Danny Ings became an Aston Villa player in August 2021, completing a move from Southampton. The striker scored 14 goals across all competitions in the 2020/21 campaign, and he signed a three-year deal to join Villa.
Ings broke into senior level at Bournemouth before a move to Burnley ignited his career, firing the Clarets to the Premier League and earning himself a move to Liverpool in 2015. Injury plagued him during his time at Anfield, but he proved his quality once again during a three-year spell with Saints, scoring 46 times in 100 games.
Ings' first season at Villa saw him net a debut goal against Watford before a stunning overhead kick at home to Newcastle bagged him the club's Goal of the Season award. He finished the campaign with seven goals in 31 games.
The Winchester native has also won international honours for England, making his debut in 2015 and scoring his first goal against Wales in 2020.
