Homegrown youngster Kaine Kesler Hayden captained Aston Villa to FA Youth Cup glory during the 2020/21 season. The full-back was a key part of the side that won the club's first Youth Cup since 2002. A pacy player with an eye for goal, Kesler Hayden also won man of the match honours on his senior debut against Liverpool in the FA Cup third round in January 2021.

In July 2021, the defender put pen-to-paper on a new five-year contract with the club. Kesler Hayden then headed out on loan to Swindon Town, making 21 appearances for the Robins before returning to the club in January. Another loan switch followed, this time to MK Dons where he played 17 times and helped the club reach the League One Play-Offs. 

He duly spent the first half of the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Huddersfield Town, making 15 appearances in all competitions, before enjoying 27 outings for fellow Championship side Plymouth Argyle during the first half of the 2023/24 season. 

At international level, Kesler Hayden has been capped by England Under-20s.
