Wesley Moraes arrived at Aston Villa ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, joining from Belgian side Club Brugge where he scored 38 goals across three full seasons. He also won four trophies as well as being named Belgian Young Professional Footballer of the Year for 2017/18. 

An imposing presence in the forward line, Wesley suffered an ACL injury during his first season at Villa and was sidelined for 15 months, eventually returning to action in April 2021. He moved on loan to Levante for the 2022/23 season, making 43 appearances for the Spanish side. 

The striker has European experience, with appearances and goals in both the Champions League and Europa League, while he made his full Brazil debut in November 2019 when he came on as a substitute during a 1-0 friendly defeat to Argentina.
