Steve Bruce admits he’s thrilled to bring in Axel Tuanzebe on loan from Man Utd as he roared: “It’s not often a player of his ability becomes available”.

Bruce spoke of the loan starlet’s “pace, athleticism and desire” as he also revealed that Tuanzebe will go straight into the squad for Tuesday’s clash with Sheffield United.

He said: “I'm delighted we've been able to get someone of that quality in.

“He's got all the ingredients of a modern day player - he's quick, strong and powerful.

“He can play anywhere in midfield and anywhere at the back.

“When you've got someone who can do all of those things so naturally, then it's a great thing.

“He'll bring pace, athleticism and a desire. He's got a big appetite for the game.

“I think it's a great move for him at this moment in time. I believe he's got a really big future at Man Utd, I really do.

“It's not often a player of his ability becomes available. We're thankful to Jose Mourinho in particular.

“Loans have gone well for people here - Sam Johnstone, Josh Onomah, Robert Snodgrass for example. They've all done exceptionally well for us this year. I hope Axel fits the bill in the same way.”

On Tuanzebe’s involvement at Bramall Lane, he added: “He'll definitely be involved tomorrow, it's whether he starts or not is the question.

“But make no mistake, he's come here to play. He will do, but he's only been here a few days. Let's wait and see.”
