Our Education and Employment thread aims at promoting education and personal development opportunities, offering a range of classroom and community-based working, training and qualifications to enhance young people’s long-term prospects and potential.
We collaborate with primary and secondary schools around the city, delivering lessons and workshops in the mainstream classroom environment, as well as providing more focussed alternative education environments for young people who do not thrive in the mainstream school system. Our alternative education activities focus on bridging educational gaps, reintegration into education, attendance and behaviour. A wide range of support is offered to thousands of pupils, through whole class, small groups and 1-2-1 mentoring and intervention.
Our education and employment pathway also offers further and higher education courses, with BTEC, A Level and Foundation degree programmes. For those that are more suited to vocational learning, we have sector-specific training and skills courses, such as hospitality and catering qualifications and work experience.
Our staff offer lived experience, as well as the support of Aston Villa, our facilities and opportunities outside of the classroom environment where students thrive and learn.
