Aston Villa are pleased to confirm the signing of Caroline Siems from 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam.
The 21-year-old full-back is the latest player to join Gemma Davies’ squad having helped Potsdam to a fouth-placed finish in last season’s Bundesliga.
Siems can play on either side of the backline and has represented Germany at youth level since the age of 14.
On the latest arrival, Davies said: “Caro has gained experience in the German Bundesliga as an attack-minded full-back.
“Caro is still only young and has a huge amount of potential.
“She has the ability to play on both feet, is comfortable playing in wide areas and inside the pitch.
“She will bring an exciting dynamic to our attacking abilities.”
The Super League season is aiming for a start date of 5-6 September.
