The Aston Villa Foundation are excited to launch a brand-new fundraising event for 2025: the Pedal to Villa Park Bike Ride Challenge!
The Bike Ride will take place on Saturday, April 5th, and will see participants cycle from The City Ground in Nottingham to Villa Park, taking in the Leicestershire countryside, along canals and through Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield to reach Villa Park for a matchday GA+ experience!
Participants will depart Villa Park at 5am to make their way to The City Ground via minibus. A support vehicle will be available to transport bikes. Participants will need to bring their own bikes.
Participants will depart The City Ground at 6am. The ride will cover 55 miles back to Villa Park with two rest stops along the route.
Participants will have access to our Aston Villa Inner City Academy for showers and to change, to attend the AVFC v Nottingham Forest game as a group.
There will be a £100 registration fee for this event, which includes:
- A GA+ matchday ticket
- Fundraising support and resources
- A cycling jersey with Aston Villa Foundation branding
- Transport to The City Ground
- Refreshments on route
- Professional support throughout the cycle (mechanic and lead riders)
The minimum sponsorship target for this event will be £500, with all money raised going to the Aston Villa Foundation.
A maximum of 10 spaces are available to take part.
Please note: Games are subject to change and the event will change with the fixture. We will know by end of February if this game has been chosen for TV.
This event is not a race.
