Cooking chiefs have been working hard for weeks to bring you an updated feast of food, which will fizzle on your palate under the lights in our remarkable Directors Area setting.
Restaurant VMF - the second best eatery in Birmingham according to Trip Advisor - has really set high standards since opening three years ago and the latest offering, available on Fridays and Saturdays, is sure to tantalise your tastebuds.
We have the three-course menu on offer, at a very respectable set price of £22.95.
To begin, you can choose from:
Terrine of chicken, smoked bacon and Smithy's wild mushrooms with thyme crisps and homemade piccalilli
Homemade pumpkin soup with allotment sage and Bosworth Ash ravioli
Salad of beetroot with hickory hot smoked salmon, presented with seasonal beetroot and lemon and chive crème fraiche
Risotto of pearl barley and grain mustard sauce with chorizo, home smoked pancetta and shaved Berkswell cheese
For main course, there is:
Braised blade of beef with oxtail bon bon, a classic dish served in a rich red wine sauce with horseradish mash and winter roots
Lemon thyme roasted chicken breast with slow cooked confit of the leg, wilted spinach and onion soubise
Posh fish pie, a seasonal sustainable fish masked with a vermouth butter sauce and crowned with a light puff pastry lid
Abdul's chicken bhuna, a dish served with basmati and rosewater pilau rice, tamarind, onion bhaji and crushed poppadoms
Rack, shoulder noisette and hot pot of lamb served with cauliflower cheese, confit tomato and honeyed parsnip puree [£3 supplement]
Filo parcel of Lightwood Chaser with butternut squash, red onion jam and sunblush tomato
To dessert, there is:
Black forest gateau in a glass, layers of black griottine cherries, thick cream and valhrona chocolate ganache
Apple and pear tarte tatin with homemade vanilla pod ice cream
Allotment rhubarb crumble
Classic crème brulee with mango and raspberry salsa and almond shortbread
You can add a selection of champion cheeses from the Midlands - Earlswood Blue, Fowlers Truckle Cheddar, Lightwood Capria and Bosworth Ash - for £4.50. And freshly brewed coffee with homemade truffles and marshmallow for £2.50.
