Aston Villa continued their fantastic start to the season in the Under-18 Premier League South with a 4-2 victory at Chelsea on Saturday.

Arjan Raikhy scored a stunning 30-yard lob at Cobham Training Centre as Villa secured a sixth win from their opening eight matches.

Having got back to winning ways, Sean Verity’s side moved back to the top of the table on 19 points.

Jude Soonsup-Bell put the hosts into a sixth-minute lead only for Ben Chrisene to respond quickly and level matters immediately.

Raikhy’s superb effort put Villa ahead in the 20th minute before Brad Young secured a two-goal advantage heading into the interval with his sixth goal of the season.

Soonsup-Bell reduced the arrears with his second of the game in the 74th minute, making it 3-2 and setting up a tense finale.

But Hayden Lindley made sure of victory when he added a fourth for the Villans, like Raikhy, his second goal in as many games, 10 minutes from time.

Villa host second-placed Crystal Palace next up at Bodymoor Heath this Saturday.
