Aston Villa can confirm Jota has departed the club after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate his contract.
The Spanish attacking midfielder arrived at Villa Park in the summer of 2019 and made a total of 16 appearances, scoring once in last season’s Carabao Cup triumph at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Two of those outings have come this term, stepping off the bench in the League Cup matches against Burton Albion and Stoke City
