Aston Villa Under-23s picked up their first three points of the season with a comprehensive victory over Norwich City at Bodymoor Heath on Friday night.
Mark Delaney's side bounced back emphatically from defeats at Sunderland and West Brom, thanks to goals from Aaron Ramsey, Dominic Revan and Jaden Philogene-Bidace.
The visitors had made the brighter start and went close through Tyrese Omotoye and Rob Nizet, with both efforts kept out by Villa 'keeper Akos Onodi.
Villa grew into the game though and made their pressure count on the half-hour mark, winning the ball high up the pitch before Ramsey executed a perfect finish into the corner with his left foot.
It caps off a good week for the family, with Aaron's brother, Jacob making his full debut in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night at Burton Albion.
Cameron Archer had an effort well saved five minutes later but it was well kept out by Jon McCracken, and Norwich were still posing a threat.
Josh Giurgi was played through and went for power, but Onodi reacted brilliantly to keep Villa ahead.
The home side maintained control over the encounter after the break and the lead was doubled through Revan after an hour.
With 17 minutes to play, Philogene-Bidace followed up his strike at West Brom earlier in the week with a penalty to score in back-to-back games and put the result beyond doubt.
