John McGinn scored twice as Scotland recorded a 4-0 victory over Faroe Islands on Thursday night.
The Aston Villa midfielder swept home Kieran Tierney’s low cross to fire the hosts into an early lead at Hampden Park before the duo combined again in the 53rd-minute to double Scotland’s advantage, McGinn heading home from eight yards.
It capped a man-of-the-match performance from in-form McGinn, who has registered three goals in three matches over an unbeaten March international period following his superb overhead kick to earn a late 2-2 draw against Austria last week.
It leaves Scotland in second place in Group F on five points in their qualifying campaign for the 2022 World Cup.

Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins were unused substitutes as England maintained their 100% start to qualification for next year’s tournament in Qatar.
The Three Lions claimed a late 2-1 victory over Poland at Wembley to strengthen their grip on top spot in Group I with three wins from their opening three fixtures.
Lovre Kalinic was an unused substitute for Croatia on Thursday night as they registered a 3-0 victory over Malta to claim top spot in Group H with six points from their opening three qualifying matches.
