Aston Villa can confirm Trezeguet will undergo surgery on a knee injury sustained in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Liverpool.
The Egypt international winger suffered knee ligament damage in the latter stages of the Premier League encounter at Anfield.
Trezeguet, who bagged a brace in the club’s 3-1 victory over Fulham at the start of April, will now have an operation before starting his rehabilitation.
