Aston Villa are pleased to confirm that our final pre-season game of the summer will be against Serie A newcomers Salernitana this Sunday.
Villa Park will host the game on Sunday with a 2pm kick off but the match will be played behind closed doors as we were not able to obtain permission from the relevant authorities to allow supporters entry.
The fixture was arranged today following the cancellation of our game against Sevilla, which was due to be played tomorrow, after a COVID outbreak in the Spanish team.
Salernitana clinched their return to the top flight in Italy for the first time in 23 years, finishing second to Empoli and begin their Serie A campaign next week.
Sunday’s game will be streamed live on Villa TV (ko 2pm). Any supporters who bought either a Pre-Season 21/22 All Games Year Pass or a Pre-Season 21/22 All Games pass will automatically be able to view the Salernitana game.
