Aston Villa supporters have voted Jacob Ramsey as the club’s December Player of the Month, in partnership with Cazoo.
The Academy graduate was the runaway winner for Villa fans following some commanding displays this month, capped off by his superb solo run and finish against Norwich City - which is also firmly in the running for our Goal of the Month poll.
Midfielder Ramsey started December as an unused substitute against Manchester City before an impressive performance in our 2-1 victory over Leicester City, in which he saw what would have been his first goal at Villa Park chalked off.
He followed that up with another start versus Liverpool at Anfield, prior to his man-of-the-match performance and solo strike against the Canaries at Carrow Road and 90 minutes at home to Chelsea on Boxing Day.
The club’s Player of the Month poll, in association with our principal partner Cazoo, attracted almost 7,000 votes from Villa fans. The top three players were:
1) Jacob Ramsey – 42%
2) John McGinn – 14%
3) Matty Cash – 10%
