Aston Villa is proud to confirm that the club has recently achieved the Preliminary Level of the Premier League Equality Standard.
The development is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to ensure Villa Park is a welcoming and inclusive place for all.

The club’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Lucy Keeling said: “Achieving the Preliminary Level is a massively encouraging step for the club and shows we are moving in a very positive direction.
“A lot of this work has gone on behind the scenes, including an extensive recruitment review and updates to policy and procedure as well as meaningful campaign work which celebrates the diversity of our club.
“We have high ambitions in this area and strong leadership to support this important work moving forward.”
The Premier League Equality Standard Panel were “struck by the scope of the EDI work” being undertaken by the club, noting the supporter engagement with fan groups among other areas.
The club have forged strong relationships with supporters’ groups such as Villa & Proud, Punjabi Villans and Villans Together, working alongside them on the ‘All In’ initiative.
The news follows on the from the club recently committing to the Disability Confident Standard and FA Leadership Diversity Code.
The code focuses on increasing equality of opportunity with hiring targets – rather than quotas – to encourage recruitment from across society.
Hiring will be based on merit, to find the best person for the job from diverse talent pipelines. The club's vacancies are now published via the FLDC Jobs Board here.
