Aston Villa Women can confirm that seven players will leave the Club when their contracts expire at the end of June.
Ella Franklin-Fraiture, Emma Follis, Amy West, Caroline Siems, Diana Silva, Mana Iwabuchi and Nadine Hanssen will be departing.
West is the longest-serving player to depart, with the 24-year-old having joined the Club at the age of nine before making her first-team debut in 2015.
Follis leaves after two separate spells in claret & blue. The forward made her debut at the age of 17 before returning to Villa in 2019 after stints in England and the United States.
Alongside Franklin-Fraiture and Hanssen, West and Follis leave the Club having secured promotion to the Barclays FA Women’s Super League under Gemma Davies in 2020.
The team enjoyed an unbeaten run to the title and will be forever associated with the most successful period in our history.
Siems, Silva and Iwabuchi were added to the squad following promotion, and their important contributions maintained the Club’s place in the WSL on the final day of the 2020/21 campaign.
Aston Villa Women sincerely thanks each player for their time at the Club and wishes them the very best in their future endeavours.
