Aston Villa are proud to mark Remembrance Day at this weekend’s game against West Ham United.

The club’s famous claret and blue shirts will be adorned with the poppy on Sunday, and there are a number of other activities happening at and around the match.

As the players walk out of the tunnel, special poppy flags will be displayed on the Holte End before the players, staff and supporters observe a minute’s silence before kick-off.

Members of the Royal British Legion will be conducting a bucket collection at the stadium, which will be showing bespoke poppy graphics on screens around the ground.

After the game, keep an eye on the Aston Villa Foundation’s social media channels as they will be auctioning off the matchworn poppy shirts.

The shirts, which will be signed by the players, will be available for fans to bid on here.

On social media, the club’s channels feature the poppy in their profile photos and there is also a chance for junior fans to win a signed item via our Poppy Kit Design competition.

Young fans can design/draw a Villa kit based on the poppy and submit it on Twitter using #AVFCPoppyKit and we will select a winner to receive a special signed item.
