Australia pre-season tour

Aston Villa is excited to confirm details for the club’s historic pre-season tour of Australia this summer.

The men’s first team will embark on Villa’s first-ever tour to Australia in July as part of the squad’s preparations for the 2022/23 Premier League season.

Steven Gerrard’s side are set to play three matches Down Under across both Queensland and Western Australia.

Villa will travel to Brisbane to compete in the inaugural three-team Queensland Champions Cup, facing Leeds United on Sunday, July 17 at the iconic Suncorp Stadium.

The Villans head north to take on A-League side Brisbane Roar at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville on Wednesday, July 20.

Villa then travel west to Perth to take part in the ICON Festival of Football, coming up against Manchester United on Saturday, July 23 at the renowned Optus Stadium.

Tickets for our Queensland Champions Cup fixtures against Leeds and Brisbane Roar go on sale from Friday, April 29 (1pm AEST).

Tickets for our fixture against Manchester United go on pre-sale to Villa supporters from Tuesday, May 3 (2pm AWST) until Wednesday, May 4 (1pm AWST).

The club will also confirm full details in due course regarding exciting supporters’ activities during our pre-season tour of Australia.

VillaTV+ will be showing a live stream of the club’s pre-season matches for supporters who aren’t able to travel, with more information to follow of how you can watch the action.

As part of our 2022/23 preparations, the club is also hoping to announce a UK-based friendly which will take place before the trip to Australia as well as a fixture upon our return.

The 2022/23 Premier League season gets underway on the weekend of August 6/7.
