Aston Villa is pleased to announce Filip Marschall has signed a new contract with the Club.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who was part of the senior squad that travelled to Australia in pre-season, has been a regular for Villa’s Under-18 and Under-21 teams and was between the sticks for the side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2021.
Last season he spent time on loan at Gateshead, helping the north-east outfit win the National League North title.
Academy manager Mark Harrison said: “We are delighted that Fil has signed a new contract. He played an important role in our FA Youth Cup run and had a successful loan at Gateshead last season.
“He has also represented England and was part of the squad that travelled to Australia, which shows he thoroughly deserves this new contract. We will all look forward to see how he develops over the next few years.”
