A spirited and determined Aston Villa beat Brentford 5-0 in their FA Youth Cup tie at Villa Park on Friday night.
The Young Lions established themselves as the dominant side straight off the bat, scoring two great goals through Rory Wilson and Kobei Moore inside the opening 15 minutes.
Moore made it three before Wilson completed his hat-trick with a smart finish from the centre of the box. Finley Munroe then wrapped up the scoring from the penalty spot.
The dominant victory means the Young Lions progress into the fourth round of the cup competition, which will be played in January.

Villa got off to a hot start and almost scored within five minutes when Kyrie Pierre dinked the ball past Bentford goalkeeper Adam Mlynarczyk, but it was cleared off the line.
However, Wilson then opened the scoring just minutes later, lofting a brilliant shot over the ‘keeper and into the far corner of the net from a near-impossible angle.

Just four minutes later it was Moore’s turn to impress, as he flew above his marker to head into the top corner at the back post to double the Young Lions’ lead.
Wilson added his second and Villa’s third in the 27th minute, using his striker’s instincts to follow up a shot from Jayden Barber and finish from close range.

Wilson deservedly completed his hat-trick in the 66th minute when he opened his body to guide the ball into the far corner following some great work from Pierre on the left.
Ewan Simpson earned Villa a penalty in the 74th minute through his excellent work-rate, getting fouled after charging down and winning the ball from Brentford stopper Mlynarczyk. Munroe then dispatched the spot-kick emphatically to make it 5-0.

Villa had the ball in the net for a sixth after tremendous link up between Wilson, Moore and Pierre, but the linesman cruelly flagged for offside.
