Delighted Kortney Hause is “over the moon” to have signed a contract extension at Aston Villa.

The centre-back, 26, who joined the club in 2019, has agreed a new deal at Villa Park until 2025.

And he spoke of his joy at putting pen to paper on fresh terms.

“I’m over the moon,” he told VillaTV.

“It’s a big club, a big part of my life, big part of my football career.

“Since the day I signed, I’ve felt a real love for the club in terms of showing how much they wanted to bring me to the club.

“So from the first day I signed, I’ve felt loved and wanted and to extend for another three-and-a-half years…I’m very, very happy, I’m delighted.”

Hause initially arrived at Villa on loan in January 2019, making 12 appearances, including as a second-half substitute in the Play-Off Final victory over Derby County at Wembley as the club secured promotion back to the Premier League.

He duly penned a permanent deal that summer and has since made 42 outings for Villa in all competitions, finding the net three times, the most memorable being his winner in our 1-0 triumph at Manchester United earlier this season.

Hause says getting the club back to the top flight and “where it belongs” stands out of his proudest memory to date.

But he insists the future is bright and believes there will be plenty more to be enthralled about.

“The players we’ve got here, the coach, coaching staff; it’s really, really exciting times for Aston Villa fans,” he added.
