Aston Villa is pleased to announce Josh Feeney has signed his first professional contract with the Club.
Feeney joined Villa last summer from Fleetwood Town and quickly impressed in both the Under-18s and Under-23s, resulting in him training with the first team on a number of occasions last term.
The defender has captained England at youth level and was named among the substitutes for Villa’s first-team clash at Brentford as well as in both of last season’s fixtures with Burnley.
Academy Manager Mark Harrison said: “We are really pleased Josh has signed his first professional contract after a very promising first season with us which led to him being involved in the first team.
“He put in some excellent performances last season which also saw him captain England at Under-17 level.
“We are all excited by his potential and with the attitude and application he has shown so far we are hopeful he can continue to develop and become a first-team regular.”
