John McGinn helped Scotland soothe the pain of their World Cup heartache with a Nations League victory on Wednesday night.
The midfielder whipped in a corner that was headed home by Scott McKenna for the second goal in a 2-0 win against Armenia at Hampden Park.
Scotland, who saw their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup ended by Ukraine a week earlier, took the lead through Anthony Ralston before McGinn provided the second.
The 27-year-old came close to a goal himself late on but saw his effort rattle the crossbar.

Victory sees Scotland top Group B1 ahead of games against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday, June 11 (5pm) and a return leg in Armenia on Tuesday, June 14 (5pm).
Matty Cash returned to Poland’s matchday squad as they endured a humbling defeat at the hands of Belgium.
The full-back, who missed Poland’s 2-1 win against Wales last week, came on after 66 minutes.
And despite taking the lead through Robert Lewandowski, the Poles saw Belgium score six unanswered goals as the hosts recorded a dominant win.
The result leaves Poland third in Group A4 with leaders Netherlands next up Saturday, June 11 (7:45pm) before a return tie against Belgium on Tuesday, June 14 (7:45pm).
