Steven Gerrard spoke to the media on Friday afternoon as he previewed Southampton's visit to Villa Park this weekend.
The head coach answered questions on his team selection, opponents Southampton, former Saint Danny Ings and much more.
Here's what he had to say...
On team news...

“Carney Chukwuemeka will miss the weekend. He’s got an outside chance of being involved against Leeds.
“He was back on the pitch with the physio yesterday and today, but this game will come too soon. We’re hoping to have him available for Leeds on Thursday.
“Bertrand Traore joined the group in full training for the first time yesterday, so he’s got two days under his belt now with no issues. We’ll make a decision later today whether he comes back into the squad.”
Gerrard added that Marvelous Nakamba is three to four weeks away from a return.
On Danny Ings…

“I know him very well and I think he’s been really happy since we came in. I’ve only seen someone who’s very focused on his training and trying to improve the team.
“He’s desperate to play tomorrow. We were really happy with his performance last week – he was very selfless with the job and work he did for the team.
“Danny wants to play and Danny wants to score goals. That’s the hunger I see and the twinkle in his eye. He’s certainly ready.
“He doesn’t have to focus or worry about playing Southampton or what kind of reception he’ll get. If he’s picked to play, he’ll have a job and a role in the team.”
On facing Southampton…

“It’s a classic case of an ownership at Southampton that’s really backed the manager, given him time and shown patience.
“He’s developed an identity and a style, which the players look used to. They’re playing some really exciting, free-flowing football and pressing high, which is a model that Ralph Hasenhuttl likes to implement.
“I can only pay Southampton and their manager the utmost respect because of their season so far. My job is to put an end to that run.
“We want to make it about Aston Villa tomorrow and about us executing the game plan that we want.”
On the club’s End of Year Accounts…

“I was aware of this news slightly earlier than you guys because it came up when I was in talks about the job.
“We’ve got top owners, it’s as simple as that. They’re ambitious and prepared to back up what they say.
“They’re very ambitious people, not just in business but from a sporting point of view as well. I’m very privileged to be in this position and have them as my owners. I’m sure the fans, and everyone connected with the club, can echo that.”
