Ashley Young and Calum Chambers were named in Aston Villa’s starting line-up for the home clash against Southampton.
Young and Chambers, who started his career at Saints, replaced defenders Lucas Digne and Ezri Konsa respectively, with the pair absent from the matchday 20 at Villa Park.
They were the only changes from Steven Gerrard’s XI who started last weekend’s 2-0 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion, with Danny Ings also lining up against his former club.
Fit-again Bertrand Traoré was named among the substitutes, alongside talented teenage trio Tim Iroegbunam, Ben Chrisene and Tommi O’Reilly.
