Aston Villa blew Burnley away and picked up consecutive Premier League wins with a tremendous performance at Turf Moor.
The recalled Emiliano Buendía made one and scored one in the first half, teeing up Danny Ings before converting Lucas Digne’s pull back as the visitors took a 2-0 lead into half-time.
Ollie Watkins added a third shortly after the restart, becoming the first Villan to reach double figures in consecutive top-flight campaigns since Christian Benteke achieved the feat seven years ago.
The Clarets rarely threatened Emiliano Martínez’s goal before Maxwel Cornet rounded the goalkeeper and slammed home a consolation in stoppage time.

Steven Gerrard made four changes for the visit to one of the Premier League’s in-form sides, including moving Calum Chambers into midfield and partnering Watkins and Ings up front.
And the head coach’s team selection paid dividends after just seven minutes when Buendía slid a through ball into the path of Ings, who set himself before rolling the ball past Nick Pope.
The striker, who scored 43 times for Burnley, has now netted in his last four games against them, and he looked in the mood for more as Villa bossed the first 20 minutes.
Interim boss Mike Jackson had inspired a three-game winning run to take the hosts out of the relegation zone, and they eventually sparked into life offensively when Wout Weghorst sent a snapshot wide before planting a header narrowly past the post shortly afterwards

But Burnley’s momentum was halted when a clinical move led to the visitors’ second goal after 31 minutes.
Watkins and Ings combined before the former laid the ball into the path of Digne, with Buendía finishing off the move after the Frenchman had cut the ball back.
As the game ticked towards half-time, an incensed Turf Moor nearly had something to celebrate when Ezri Konsa was robbed of possession by Dwight McNeil, with the winger breaking into the box before hitting a tame shot at Martinez.

Villa, seeking a seventh away win in the top flight, began the second half brightly and came within a yard of grabbing a third goal when Nathan Collins deflected Watkins’ drive just wide.
But the England international didn’t have to wait long to get on the scoresheet, finishing off another flowing move with a diving header to make it 3-0 on 52 minutes.
Buendía was at the heart of things once again, switching the play to Digne, who played the ball into the path of an overlapping John McGinn. The Scot found an unmarked Watkins with a pinpoint cross and the forward did the rest.

With Burnley offering little worry to Villa’s backline, the chances kept coming at the other end as Matty Cash, Watkins and McGinn all tested Pope.
A lively cameo from 18-year-old Carney Chukwuemeka was another welcome sight for the travelling fans, who provided a fitting soundtrack to their team’s dominance on the pitch throughout the game.
And not even a late goal from substitute Cornet dampened their spirits as they serenaded their team at the final whistle.
