Your visit to Villa Park

In the current climate, it's important that supporters take steps to ensure that their visit to the stadium is a safe one.

Turnstiles open at 10.30am, so make sure you arrive to the stadium in plenty of time ahead of kick-off to ensure smooth entry.

As is usually the case, a traffic exclusion zone will be in operation around the stadium – meaning there will be less traffic on Trinity Road and Witton Lane from 90 minutes before the match starts.

As a thank you for your continued support this season, free car parking will be available across the North Stand car park, Brookvale Road car park (Witton, Birmingham, B6 7BY) and the coaches' car park on Witton Lane. Parking space will be available on a first come, first served basis at all three locations.

Matchday programmes will be available to purchase for £2 from the food kiosks within the Trinty Road concourse.

Supporters are advised to read the updated COVID-19 Matchday Regulations that are in place.

Matchday protocols and COVID-19 guidance

In line with the latest government guidance, COVID passes will not be enforced as a condition of entry to WSL matches.

However, Aston Villa will continue to urge fans to do all you can to minimise the risk of passing on COVID-19, including wearing face coverings when indoors or in crowded areas.

There are some simple ways supporters can help keep each other stay safe on a matchday:

  • Be responsible and do not travel if you have COVID-19 symptoms
  • Wear face coverings in indoor and crowded areas
  • Continue to regularly wash your hands
  • If possible, take a COVID-19 test on a matchday to check there is no risk of passing on the virus
  • The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated

We will continue to work with government and local public health authorities to update safety measures in line with the latest guidance.

Cashless stadium

Please note, Villa Park will be cashless to help ensure safe social distancing practices and minimise contact at all points of sale. This includes the Villa Store, with card payments widely accepted in and around the stadium.

Meet & Greet with popular TV characters

Young supporters can meet some of the most popular TV characters at Villa Park this Sunday, including Peppa Pig and George, Hey Duggee, SpongeBob SquarePants and PAW Patrol’s Marshall.

Before the game, the characters will be taking pictures and meeting fans at intervals in the Trinity Fan Zone and Family Fun Zone. See the Fan Zone schedules below for more information.

To meet the characters all fans will need to do is present their match ticket to a member of staff in the designated meet and greet area.

Character appearance timings

Hey Duggee and SpongeBob in the Trinity Fan Zone

10am and 11am

Marshall and Peppa/George Pig in the Family Fun Zone

10:30am and 11:30am

The club will do their best to ensure all fans who wish to meet the characters get to do so, but as demand may be high this is not something we can’t guarantee.

However, the characters will be appearing in open viewing areas, so anyone that doesn’t get to meet them in person will still be able to see them.

Fan favourite club mascots Hercules and Bella will also be roaming the stadium grounds, so make sure to say hi if you see them.

As well as the character meet and greets there is a full line-up of entertainment, activities and offers for the whole family to enjoy before the match.

Family Fun Zone

The family Fun Zone returns to Villa Park’s Academy Building on Sunday from 10am-12pm.

Young Villans can take part in a number of exciting, fun activities ahead of kick-off. We have football darts, inflatable axe throwing, rodeo football, inflatable assault course, dance machine, footpool, giant Connect 4 and the 10ft buzzwire, photo booth, face Painting & a DJ.

To help keep people safe, sanitiser stations will be provided at each activity.

We kindly ask that fans do not bring their own footballs into the Fun Zone. Unsupervised games of football cause increased risk of harm to all in attendance. Thank you as always for your cooperation and support.

Food and beverage

Outside the stadium there will be several street food trucks situated on the Trinity Stand forecourt and a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks. The traders include Currywurst and Yardbird. Food & beverage kiosks will also be open in both the lower and upper Trinity Road concourses.

See it...hear it...report it!

If you witness discriminatory behaviour at a match or around a stadium, please report it to the police or a steward.

Supporters at Villa Park can text REPORT to 60060 along with the location of the incident and details of what you have witnessed.

The text line also includes the reporting of any safeguarding concerns. The text service will be supported by our security team and West Midlands Police. Each text costs one standard message at your network rate. The club may share your details with West Midlands Police if further information is required to assist with a criminal prosecution.

Purple wristbands on matchdays at Villa Park

Aston Villa are introducing the use of purple wristbands on matchdays at Villa Park to help keep children safe.

Staff in the Family Fun Zone will be offering parents the opportunity to receive a purple wristband that your child can wear.

Included on the wristband will be the opportunity for parents to include their contact details. If your child was to become separated from you or felt unsafe, they could approach a steward or another member of staff and show their wristband.

Stewards or staff can then duly contact parents and/or Aston Villa Head of Safeguarding Andy Bowly for assistance and support.

Please support this initiative and ensure everyone is safe on matchdays.
