Your visit to Villa Park
In the current climate, it's important that supporters take steps to ensure that their visit to the stadium is a safe one.
Turnstiles open at 12:30pm, so make sure you arrive at the stadium in plenty of time ahead of kick-off to ensure smooth entry. However you're planning to get to the match, take a look at our Travel & Parking guide before leaving home.

As is usually the case, a traffic exclusion zone will be in operation around the stadium – meaning there will be less traffic on Trinity Road and Witton Lane from 90 minutes before the match starts. Limited car parking is available at Brookvale car park, subject to availability.
Supporters are advised to read the updated COVID-19 Matchday Regulations that are in place.
The Holte Suite will open three hours prior to kick-off and close two hours after full-time. The Holte Pub is closed for a private function on Sunday.
Travel update
On Sunday and Thursday, May 19 (Aston Villa v Burnley, ko 8pm) the A34 Walsall Road North Bound (towards Junction 7 of the M6) at the Perry Barr Junction of Aston Lane (A4040) will be closed.
This will affect supporters on exit from Villa Park after each fixture.

1982 European Cup Anniversary Celebrations
Aston Villa will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our historic 1982 European Cup success at Villa Park on Sunday.
We’ve been marking the occasion throughout the 2021/22 anniversary season and this weekend sees us join together at Villa Park to celebrate our remarkable success, which came 12 months after securing the First Division title.
Villa supporters are invited to join the squad of ’82 ahead of kick-off, with fans asked to get to their seats early to take part and join in. Supporters will each have a special edition souvenir flag in their seat when they arrive, which will form part of a whole stadium display – you won’t want to miss it!
We are calling upon all fans to start waving your flags at approximately 1.52pm, when AVFC staff lift their flags into position pitchside, and continue waving them through until kick-off. Members of Villa’s history-making ‘82 squad will be pitchside for the pre-match celebrations as well as returning at half-time for a lap of appreciation.
Supporters can also pick up a special commemorative matchday programme for the Palace fixture, marking the 40th anniversary of our incredible achievement.

Matchday protocols and COVID-19 guidance
In line with the latest government guidance and the easing of COVID-19 autumn-winter Plan B restrictions, COVID passes will no longer be enforced as a condition of entry to Premier League matches.
However, Aston Villa, the Premier League and all of its clubs will continue to urge fans to do all you can to minimise the risk of passing on COVID-19, including wearing face coverings when indoors or in crowded areas.
There are some simple ways supporters can help keep each other stay safe on a matchday:
- Be responsible and do not travel if you have COVID-19 symptoms
- Wear face coverings in indoor and crowded areas
- Continue to regularly wash your hands
- If possible, take a COVID-19 test on a matchday to check there is no risk of passing on the virus
- The best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated
We will continue to work with government and local public health authorities to update safety measures in line with the latest guidance. For more information, click here.
During the match
We would like to remind supporters that Villa Park is an all-seater stadium.
In all areas of Villa Park, we have children, elderly fans and those with medical conditions who are unable to see or watch the match if supporters stand up in front of them.
Please be mindful of this at all times and thank you for your cooperation.
Cashless stadium
Please note, Villa Park will be cashless to help ensure safe social distancing practices and minimise contact at all points of sale. This includes the Villa Store, with card payments widely accepted in and around the stadium.
The only exception is programme kiosks outside the ground, which will still accept cash.

Carbon-neutral reusable cup system
Aston Villa have partnered with Event Cup Solutions to implement a carbon-neutral reusable cup system on matchdays at Villa Park.
Launched at the club's home game against Leeds United, the initiative, developed alongside catering partner Levy UK + Ireland, will remove over 300,000 single-use plastic cups from the stadium over the course of a season.
Fans will be asked to leave a 10p deposit for each cup, which is refundable on return of the cup or can be donated to Aston Villa Foundation. As an extra incentive for supporters to return their cup, one tree will be planted for every 1,000 cups returned. Click here for more information.

Fun Zone
The family Fun Zone returns to Villa Park’s Academy Building on Sunday from 12-2pm.
Young Villans can take part in a number of exciting, fun activities ahead of kick-off. We have football darts, footpool, assault course, sweeper arm, speed cage, dance machine, basketball, mega buzzwire, giant connect 4, face painting and a DJ.
To help keep people safe, sanitiser stations will be provided at each activity.
We kindly ask that fans do not bring their own footballs into the Fun Zone. Unsupervised games of football cause increased risk of harm to all in attendance. Thank you as always for your cooperation and support.

Food and beverage
Baked in Brick and Brummie Bostin Brownie have been popular additions to the food offering in the Trinity concourse this season.
Baked in Brick offer a range of BBQ Chicken Tikka burgers, a Lemon Curry Halloumi Burger and a range of fries. Serving up a sweet treat, Brummie Bostin Brownie have a selection of double chocolate brownies to choose from, including an Eton Mess and Banoffee Pie flavours.
Outside the stadium there will be several street food trucks situated on the Trinity Stand forecourt and a bar serving alcoholic and soft drinks from 11am. The traders include Flying Cows, Currywurst and The Wing Guys.

Purple wristbands on matchdays at Villa Park
Aston Villa are introducing the use of purple wristbands on matchdays at Villa Park to help keep children safe.
Starting from our home fixture against Watford on Saturday, February 19, staff in the Family Fun Zone will be offering parents the opportunity to receive a purple wristband that your child can wear.
Included on the wristband will be the opportunity for parents to include their contact details. If your child was to become separated from you or felt unsafe, they could approach a steward or another member of staff and show their wristband.
Stewards or staff can then duly contact parents and/or Aston Villa Head of Safeguarding Andy Bowly for assistance and support.
Please support this initiative and ensure everyone is safe on matchdays.
Share your thoughts on the future of Villa Park
Aston Villa fans are invited to take part in two supporter surveys to help shape the redevelopment of Villa Park.
Chief Executive Christian Purslow earlier this month confirmed the first phase of redevelopment centres around a complete rebuild of the North Stand and construction of a much larger structure to take Villa Park’s capacity above 50,000, with plans due to be submitted this summer.
We have launched both a stadium fan engagement and travel survey to hear your views on our vision and give everyone the opportunity to shape the future of Villa Park.
Have your say, and be a part of the story, by taking the surveys below...
