The final home game of the season was played out at Villa Park on Thursday night as Burnley came to town.

Despite dominating the first half, the hosts trailed at the break after Ashley Barnes buried a penalty on the stroke of half-time.

Emiliano Buendía quickly equalised after the restart and it soon became Aston Villa v Nick Pope as the home side laid siege to the Burnley goal.

The England goalkeeper stood firm to ensure the game ended in a draw, with the Villa players embarking on a lap of appreciation at the end of the match.
