Emi Martínez has been nominated for the Premier League’s Save of the Season award.
The Argentine’s stunning acrobatic stop to keep out Harvey Barnes’ header against Leicester City at Villa Park in December earned him a nomination.
With Villa leading 2-1 against the Foxes, the goalkeeper sprung across his goal to palm the winger’s effort over the bar.
Martínez is up against saves from Alisson, Bernd Leno, David de Gea (x2), Edouard Mendy, Martin Dubravka, Jordan Pickford and Nick Pope.
