Calling all Aston Villa supporters, we’re delighted to bring you the club’s documentary celebrating the 40th anniversary of our historic European Cup triumph – When Lions Roared.
VillaTV has spent the 2021/22 anniversary season interviewing Villa’s heroes from 1982 and reliving every minute of our famous run to the final and iconic triumph over Bayern Munich.
All of the memorable moments from Valur, Dynamo Berlin, Dynamo Kyiv, Anderlecht and De Kuip Stadium in Rotterdam, as well looking back at our momentous 1980/81 First Division title-winning campaign.
It’s all here in a not-to-be missed feature length AVFC documentary as we go behind the scenes on the biggest achievement in the club’s history en route to becoming European champions.
The documentary includes interviews with Allan Evans, Colin Gibson, Dennis Mortimer, Des Bremner, Gary Shaw, Gordon Cowans, Ken McNaught, Kenny Swain, Nigel Spink, Peter Withe, Steve Stride, Terry Donovan, Tony Morley and more.
