Jacob Ramsey saluted the club’s fans for their role in helping Aston Villa get off to flying starts in their last two home matches.
The Villans found themselves 2-0 up after just 11 minutes against Manchester United at Villa Park on Sunday.
It came after they registered three goals in the opening 14 minutes during their previous home fixture against Brentford.
And Ramsey feels the Villa faithful have played a huge part, with another sold-out home crowd roaring the Lions on to a 3-1 triumph over United.
Asked about making the perfect start, he told VillaTV: “I think the fans help that.
“The atmosphere here and against Brentford, we were on the front foot, two early goals which helped the game settle down.”
Ramsey claimed an assist for Villa’s early opener, was fouled for the free-kick which led to Lucas Digne’s second and then slammed home the third goal after the break.
Reflecting on the success, he said: “It was obviously good, it’s been a tough couple of weeks or so, the performances haven’t been right.
“The new gaffer and his staff have come in, the week was about tactical work and how we can concede less goals, playing on the counter-attack.
“And I think we did that.”

Villa renew acquaintances with United again on Thursday night as they travel to the north-west for their Carabao Cup Round 3 tie.
And midfielder Ramsey believes it will be a completely different game to their Premier League tussle.
“Yeah, it’s at Old Trafford, their fans are going to be behind them, so we’ve got to forget about this game a little bit,” he said.
“Take things from the game but also, it’s another game.”
