Steven Gerrard expressed his frustration after Aston Villa were held to a goalless draw by Leeds United.
Villa were the dominant force against a Leeds side who played the second half with 10 men after Luis Sinisterra was given his marching orders in the 48th minute.
The visitors created 19 shots on goal, seven on target and forced nine corners, Philippe Coutinho hitting a post, but they could not force the crucial breakthrough.
And head coach Gerrard was left to rue that profligacy in front of goal.
“We’re frustrated because we should be heading down the motorway with three points rather than one,” he told VillaTV post-match at Elland Road.
“I think large parts of our performance were very good, we came here to frustrate Leeds, we came here to be competitive and stand up, and for large parts of the game we were much better.
“Even 11 v 11 we had the better moments, we should have scored at least one or two goals, and then obviously a big moment with the red card.
“We should be going to take three points from that moment, we’ve created 19 shots on goal and 12 inside the area – so that tells the story of the game.
“And if we were a little bit more ruthless and clinical then it would be our first away win, but unfortunately it’s not.
“So we take the clean sheet, we take the point and we move on, but we’re frustrated going away, for sure.”

The Villans were also left to count another injury as debutant Ludwig Augustinsson was forced off just before half-time.
His withdrawal adds to a mounting injury list for Gerrard, who offered an update on the left-back’s situation.
“He’ll have a scan on his hamstring and we’ll check that situation out,” said the Villa boss.
“But, I think, if you’re a football player at this level and you leave the pitch in the first half, it doesn’t look good.”
