Douglas Luiz has declared his delight after signing a new long-term contract at Aston Villa.
The 24-year-old, who has made over 100 appearances in claret and blue after joining from Manchester City in July 2019, penned his new deal on Friday afternoon.
And Luiz was quick to let his feelings be known after extending his stay at Villa Park.
“I’m so happy,” he said.
“I’m so happy in this club and I love this club. I love the people here, the staff and the players.
“I’m so comfortable here and I’m so happy.”
The Brazilian, who has nine caps for his country, has been a mainstay of the Villa team since the club’s return to the Premier League.
And Luiz is looking forward to playing a part in helping Villa to progress in the future.
“I love this club. This club opened the door for me when I came to England to play in the Premier League,” he said.
“I’m so happy because I’m staying here and my choice is here."
