Our beautiful game has come so far, but it’s only the beginning…you can be the inspiration!

Join this moment in women’s sport and show everyone your love for the game with #BeTheInspiration.

Aston Villa, alongside official women's partner Gym+Coffee, is excited to launch the club’s latest campaign – Be The Inspiration.

‘Be The Inspiration’ is our call to action for supporters everywhere to join us on our journey of continuing the development of the women's game. Get involved by sharing your football experience - whether that's playing or supporting, we want to see your love of the game!

Our ‘Be The Inspiration’ hub, which is now live, is a dedicated safe space, designed to be everyone’s individual relationship with football – whether that’s on the terraces, playing in the park, on the pitch with friends or training. We want to remove obstacles into the game and inspire a new generation.

You can upload a photo or video, or share it on Instagram or Twitter using #BeTheInspiration.

The initiative will champion our existing girls and women’s programmes, highlight future activities and be an inclusive space for everyone to engage with women’s football.

This is a really exciting moment in women’s football and we want to remain at the forefront of growing the game for all.

From our trailblazing player pathway to researching the barriers to women’s football, we are working to continue the momentum achieved by the Lionesses this summer. Join us. #BeTheInspiration

Aston Villa Women defender and Gym+Coffee ambassador Rachel Corsie features in the campaign launch video alongside team-mates Laura Blindkilde Brown, Rachel Daly and Anna Patten.

“Following such a fantastic summer of women’s sport, it is more important than ever to use every platform available to us to support the upward trajectory of the game,” said Corsie.

“We’re asking everyone in our community to join us in being ambassadors, shining a light on your connection with football so that we inspire more to join us.”

Alongside Gym+Coffee, we aim to reach new audiences and amplify this movement.

Our starting point is shared experiences and throughout the season we will be creating moments - both at fixtures and in the community - that will ask all to ‘Be The Inspiration’ for others; the growth of the game relies on ambassadors and we need support to showcase it all.

Youngster Isla Stevenson, age 10, said: “Signing for Aston Villa Girls Academy is truly a dream, to be told I am good enough and I have the potential to be great – there is no greater feeling. I hope my story will encourage more girls to feel the passion I do for football.”
