John McGinn earned his 50th international cap on Saturday night as Scotland secured a 2-1 triumph over the Republic of Ireland.

The Villa skipper led his nation to a crucial comeback victory at Hampden Park, completing 90 minutes for the Tartan Army.

The win leaves them just needing a point against second-placed Ukraine on Tuesday to top Nations League Group B1.

Robin Olsen and Ludwig Augustinsson were in action for Sweden as they were defeated 4-1 in Serbia.

The Villa pair both started and each completed 90 minutes in Belgrade, where Aleksandar Mitrovic registered a hat-trick for the hosts.

Sweden are currently at the foot of Nations League Group B4 heading into their final encounter against Slovenia on Tuesday.

On Friday night, Emi Martínez and Viljami Sinisalo were both unused substitutes as Argentina beat Honduras 3-0 and Finland drew 1-1 against Romania.
