Aston Villa will be without suspended duo Douglas Luiz and Lucas Digne for Sunday’s trip to Brentford, while Youri Tielemans and Leon Bailey are both doubtful.
Midfielder Luiz and left-back Digne each collected their fifth bookings of the season in last weekend’s 1-0 victory over Arsenal, resulting in an automatic one-match ban.
Tielemans and Bailey both missed Thursday’s Europa Conference League encounter against HŠK Zrinjski due to injury and will be assessed ahead of the trip to west London.
Robin Olsen and Bertrand Traoré remain absent, alongside long-term absentees Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendía.
“Tielemans and Leon Bailey are both doubts,” said Unai Emery at Friday’s pre-match media conference.
“Olsen is out, Traoré is out. Two players are suspended, Lucas Digne and Douglas Luiz. Long-term injuries to Tyrone Mings and Emi Buendía
“And the players who played yesterday, we’re going to wait for tomorrow.”

Head coach Emery will monitor his squad ahead of the Premier League clash against the Bees having come up against Zrinjski in Bosnia and Herzegovina in midweek.
The Villans will be facing their seventh match in 22 days and the Spaniard will assess his ranks as they prepare for their latest test.
“Today is a really difficult day for us to know how we can face Brentford on Sunday because some players are a little bit tired and we have injured players,” he said.
“Tomorrow we will know how they are going to be for Sunday, available or not.
“It’s very important to try and rest.
“All we can do is rest and tomorrow morning we are going to prepare for the match with the players who will be available to try on Sunday to be very, very competitive.
“Away, again, is a challenge for us and, of course, we are motivated, and the players are ready in their mind being aware how we can play on Sunday and the possibility to keep being in a good position in the table.”
