Boubacar Kamara feels the arrival of Unai Emery has “brought a new dynamic to the club”.

Head coach Emery has won five of his seven Premier League matches since taking the reins in November, propelling Aston Villa to within three points of sixth place.

Summer signing Kamara has been at the heart of Villa’s resurgence, with a series of immense displays in the middle of the park.

And the Frenchman insists Villa are full of confidence heading into Saturday’s clash against Leicester City at a sold-out Villa Park.

Asked how he feels about the progress made, Kamara told VillaTV: “Yes, yes, very well.

“Beyond this, I think the whole team can breathe a sigh of relief.

“The fact we’ve won a chain of victories, our morale has been built and our confidence too.

“The arrival of Unai Emery has brought a new dynamic to the club, and we see this through the results of the team.”

"Pride. I work hard every week to do well in matches and that’s it, this has rewarded my daily work over this last month."

on being voted the supporters' January Player of the Month

Kamara has been a key figure for the Villans this term and was voted by supporters as the club’s January Player of the Month, scooping a huge 43% of the vote.

The 23-year-old hopes the Villa faithful will be in loud voice for this weekend’s home encounter against the Foxes.

And he has spoken with honour when asked what it means to him to land the award.

“Pride,” he simply said.

“I work hard every week to do well in matches and that’s it, this has rewarded my daily work over this last month.

“Beyond that, it’s the work of a whole team. Without my team-mates, it’s harder, nevertheless I thank the fans.”

Boubacar also discussed his flourishing partnership with Douglas Luiz, overcoming his knee injury earlier in the season, settling into life in England and Saturday’s match against Leicester.
