Jacob Ramsey says the atmosphere at Aston Villa is one of positivity heading into matches against the Premier League’s top two.
Five wins in eight Premier League games since Unai Emery’s arrival as head coach has given the squad plenty of belief in their game plans and new style of play.
And Ramsey says spirits are high ahead of a trip to Manchester City on Sunday and Arsenal’s visit to Villa Park six days later.

He said: “Since he (Emery) came in, he’s given us a lot of confidence.
“The environment around the team, the dressing room and the training ground is really good, and everyone is full of confidence.
“That’s down to him and his coaching staff. The way he plays, and the style of play we’re playing, suits me. I’m enjoying it.”
Villa have proved tough opposition for City in recent contests, earning a 1-1 draw against Pep Guardiola’s side in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

The Citizens are trying to chase down Arsenal at the top of the league, but Ramsey believes Villa can gain another positive result.
“They’ve got 15 or 16 players who are world-class and their squad is unbelievable,” he said.
“If we’re on our A game, we can get a result.”
Ramsey added: “Everyone knows that our next to fixtures are going to be really tough; they’re both fighting for the Premier League.
“We’ve got to go there and believe. If we play our best game, we can get a result against both of them.”
