Aston Villa got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Ollie Watkins, having seen his earlier header pushed on to a post, fired the visitors ahead from the penalty spot – becoming the first Villa player to score in five successive top-flight appearances since 1985 and the first in the Premier League era.

Emi Buendía then doubled the advantage late on to ensure the Villans have now won four of their five matches on the road under Unai Emery.

Victory also secured a second successive league double over the Toffees, with Villa now unbeaten in their last eight meetings.
