Aston Villa met Wolves at Villa Park on Wednesday night as the local rivals went head-to-head in the Premier League.

Emiliano Martínez was given a rousing reception ahead of kick-off as he paraded his World Cup winners medal and Golden Glove trophy to the crowd.

The Argentine was powerless to stop Daniel Podence from opening the scoring in the first half as the visitors took a 1-0 lead into half-time.

Villa upped the ante in the second half as they searched for an equaliser, finally breaking through via Danny Ings with 12 minutes remaining.
