Aston Villa is delighted to confirm Villa Park is now fully NFC ticketing enabled for supporters to access the stadium.
Near-Field Communication (NFC) enables connection between two electronic devices over a short distance, allowing fans to enter the stadium via Apple or Google Wallet.
The club has rolled out NFC technology in a controlled way across the stadium, starting with the North Stand, Trinity Road Stand and then Doug Ellis Stand and Holte End for match tickets, progressing to season ticket holders in 2023/24 on an optional basis.
Our push towards a contactless stadium is driven by a wish to i) increase speed of entry for fans, ii) be more environmentally friendly and iii) reduce ticket touting.
Our forthcoming Premier League fixture against Leicester City on Saturday, February 4 (ko 3pm) will be first league match whereby Villa Park will be fully NFC enabled.
For supporters who don’t have a season card, when you purchase a ticket you will receive eTickets attached to your confirmation email.
There are several ways you can use your eTicket at the turnstiles to gain entry to Villa Park.
- Use the eTicket as a PDF displayed on the screen of your phone
- Print the eTicket at home
- Add the eTicket to your Apple or Google Wallet and use NFC entry to the stadium
