Aston Villa can confirm Danny Ings has completed a permanent transfer to West Ham United for an undisclosed fee.
Danny joined Villa from Southampton in the summer of 2021 and would go on to score 14 goals and register eight assists in 52 appearances for the club.
After scoring on his Villa debut, his stunning overhead kick against Newcastle United in his maiden home appearance was voted the club's 2021/22 Goal of the Season.
Off the field, Danny was always a keen volunteer for events or engagements organised by the Aston Villa Foundation and even showed his support for a young mascot who attends the Foundation’s disability football sessions by walking onto the pitch with him wearing ear defenders.
A popular member of the dressing room, everyone at Aston Villa would like to sincerely thank Danny for his service to the club and wish him all the very best in his future career.
