Aston Villa will open their 2023/24 Premier League season against Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

The Villans travel to the north east on Saturday, August 12 (ko 5.30pm) to face a Magpies side who finished fourth in the top flight last term.

It promises to be a mouthwatering start to the new campaign, with the fixture live on Sky Sports.

The club’s first home match of the season comes against Everton the following weekend.

Villa will be hoping for a repeat of their victory over the Toffees in what was their first home match of last season.

Unai Emery’s side then travel to Turf Moor to face newly-promoted Burnley, a fixture that will be sandwiched by the club’s Europa Conference League play-off round matches.

Our opening six matches are completed by a trip to Anfield to face Liverpool, before a home encounter against Crystal Palace and then a clash away at Chelsea.

Villa are at home to Premier League newcomers Sheffield United just days before Christmas, while a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United awaits on Boxing Day.

The Villans wrap up the festive period on home soil, with Burnley the visitors to Villa Park as the new year approaches.

Emery’s Villa are away at Crystal Palace on the final day of next season, with the trip to Selhurst Park coming on Sunday, May 19.

The club’s last home fixture of 2023/24 comes against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool the previous weekend.

Villa’s final six matches, meanwhile, include a trip to Arsenal, back-to-back home encounters against AFC Bournemouth and Chelsea and an away clash at Brighton & Hove Albion, before the run-in is completed against the Reds and Eagles.

Our match away at Everton in Round 21 will take place on either the weekend of January 13 or 20 due to the return of the mid-season break and fixtures being split.

In addition, fixtures may be subject to movement from Saturday to Sunday due to the participation of ourselves and/or opponents in the Europa League or Europa Conference League the preceding Thursday.

Villa will enter the Carabao Cup in Round 3 this season due to our involvement in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
