Unai Emery says his Aston Villa team want more after winning their 12th consecutive home Premier League game at Villa Park.

Luton Town offered little threat in B6 as the hosts cruised to a 3-1 victory that keeps them fifth in the table.

Head coach Emery was happy with what he saw from his side.

“It’s always special in Villa Park when we are feeling now like we are with our supporters,” he said.

“They are transmitting energy to us and we are trying to play connected with them. We are winning and that’s the most important thing.

“In 90 minutes, my idea is to enjoy it with the supporters and try to play, creating with our structure and building our style being strong.

“We’re going to play and think match-by-match because we are excited but also calm, trying to get more and more and more.”

Goals from John McGinn, Moussa Diaby and an own goal from Tom Lockyer put Villa three up after 62 minutes.

And the unfortunate Emi Martinez, who faced one shot on target, conceded a late consolation when Ezri Konsa’s header rebounded off the crossbar and struck him before rolling in.

He said: “We have to try to be consistent in 90 minutes and our idea is always to control the game and score goals.

“When you are scoring and doing the distance in the result (building a lead) it’s very important because in one action they can score like they did.

“We were still calm and in control of the game with our idea. It’s congratulations to the players, congratulations to every fan because they were supporting us.

“Now we’re going to think about next week in Nottingham.”
