International football takes centre stage over the coming week or so, with several Aston Villa players linking up with their respective countries.

A number of Villans will be involved in European Championship qualifiers, 2026 World Cup qualifiers, CONCACAF Nations League and friendly matches.

Boubacar Kamara

France

Boubacar Kamara returns to the France squad for games against Republic of Ireland and Germany.

Les Bleus take on Ireland in Euro qualifying on Thursday, September 7 (ko 7.45pm) before playing a friendly against Germany on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 8pm).

Italy

Nicolò Zaniolo has been called up by Italy for a pair of Euro qualifiers.

The Azzurri head to North Macedonia on Saturday, September 9 (ko 7.45pm) before returning home to play Ukraine on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 7.45pm).

Argentina

Emi Martínez is in the world champions’ latest squad as they begin qualifyication for the 2026 World Cup.

Argentina play Ecuador on Friday, September 8 (ko 1am) and Bolivia on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 9pm).

Pau Torres

Spain

Summer signing Pau Torres’ strong start to life at Villa has seen him included in Spain’s latest squad.

The centre-back will hope to feature in Euro qualifiers against Georgia on Friday, September 8 (ko 5pm) and Cyprus on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 7.45pm).

Belgium

Belgium have named Youri Tielemans in their squad for two Euro qualifiers.

Belgium face Azerbaijan away on Saturday, September 9 (ko 2pm) before returning home to play Estonia on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 7.45pm).

Jamaica

Leon Bailey links up with Jamaica as they continue their CONCACAF Nations League campaign.

The winger has matches against Honduras on Saturday, September 9 (ko 2am) and Haiti on Wednesday, September 13 (ko 1am) to look forward to.

Matty Cash.

Poland

Fresh from his recent goalscoring exploits, Matty Cash returns to the Poland squad.

They take on the Faroe Islands on Thursday, September 7 (ko 7.45pm) and Albania on Sunday, September 10 (ko 7.45pm), with both games Euro qualifiers.

Scotland

John McGinn’s Scotland will look to take a step closer to qualifying for Euro 2024 when they travel to Cyprus on Friday, September 8 (ko 7.45pm).

The Scots also face England in a friendly on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 7.45pm).

Sweden

After his recent game time for Villa, Robin Olsen joins up with Sweden for Euro qualifiers against Estonia on Saturday, September 9 (ko 5pm) and Austria on Tuesday, September 12 (ko 7.45pm).

Colombia

Jhon Durán will look to build on his recent form for Villa when he joins up with Colombia.

They take on Venezuela on Friday, September 8 (ko 12am) and Chile on Wednesday, September 13 (ko 1.30am) in World Cup qualifying.

Finland

On-loan goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo will join Finland for Euro qualifiers against Kazakhstan on Thursday, September 7 (ko 3pm) and Denmark on Sunday, September 10 (ko 5pm).

Young Lions

Oliwier Zych, having recently completed a loan move to Puszcza Niepołomice, is in Poland's Under-20 squad for matches against Portugal and Germany.

Omari Kellyman has been called up by England's U19s for fixtures against Germany and Switzerland, with Triston Rowe and Sam Proctor in the England Under-18 squad for their matches against France, Japan and Portugal.

Rory Wilson is on international duty for Scotland's U19s against Belgium and Czech Republic, while Thierry Katsukunya is away with Wales' U19s for their double-header against Finland.
