Aston Villa supporters can now vote for their Player of the Month for August!
After a tough start to the season against Newcastle United, in which Moussa Diaby netted, Unai Emery’s team won four games on the spin.
Three Premier League points were secured with a thumping 4-0 win against Everton at Villa Park, with John McGinn, Douglas Luiz, Leon Bailey and Jhon Durán scoring.
A first European game in 13 years was marked with another free-flowing display as Hibernian were beaten 5-0 at Easter Road.
Ollie Watkins bagged a hat-trick and there were strikes from Bailey and Luiz in the first leg of our Europa Conference League play-off.
That win was quickly followed up by a 3-1 road success against Burnley, with Diaby and a Matty Cash brace doing the damage.
A 3-0 triumph in the second leg against Hibernian rounded off the month as Cash, Bailey and Duran got on the scoresheet.
